Guiness Book Record for Big Blue Handball

CARCINOID CANCER, AndCulture & Pennsylavania 1-Wall Handball Association will be coming to the Harrisburg Mall in Harrisburg, PA (located on I-83 & Paxton St.) and support the Hope in Handball, Carcinoid Cancer, and Culture benefit. A team of handball players will attempt to set a Guinness World Record ™during this 24-hour handball marathon exhibition, beginning on Friday, Oct. 19 at 5:30 pm and ending after 5:30 pm on October 20.

PA Carcinoid Cancer Awareness Network (PCCAN) will have a booth at this event and hand out information and awareness merchandise to passers-by. Media coverage of the event will be used to create awareness of carcinoid cancer and related neuroendocrine cancers and proceeds from the event will be used for carcinoid cancer education and awareness in the midstate.

This event is being held in memory of Donna Gibson, a carcinoid patient whose premature death in June inspired her family and friends to raise funds furthering Carcinoid Cancer education and awareness efforts in Pennsylvania.

We will need volunteers at the PCCAN booth and to assist the handballers if requested. This is a great opportunity for some multigenerational bonding for those of you with teenage children and grandchildren.
