Vee,
Just let me know with some anticipation when you want to meet up. How old are your kids bye-the-way? Never too young to start learning the game. A few of the regular Kendal guys will be playing at the Robert King High courts located on 69Av & Flaggler; the outskirts of the City of Miami near the Palmetto 826.

Vil,
This is music to my ears !
So glad someone is willing to help me out on one of my projects.
1st. Let me know what general area you live in ?
2nd. I plan to go to Rober King Park (69Av & Flaggler) 2 days a week, maybe every Tuesday and Thursday to promote the sport & give it awareness but more importantly to get the kids involved. Parents will follow suit. And then we can get them on board for the petition. Next week I'll have to knock on the offices of Parks and Recreation for the City of Miami and see if they are receptive.
Coming out and teaching the kids the sport will give you good practice back into handball. Also it's important for people to see that the sport is good for men women kids and seniors a like. After you feel comfortable we can start playing with some of the regular guys to fine tune your skills. And afterwards you'll be ready for the FHL's next Mixed Doubles Tournament. I'll be heading to SpringHill (half hr north of Tampa) tonight for tomorrow Florida King of the Court Tourney. If I'm back by Sunday I'll be playing at Sunset Park (97Av & 72nd Str/Sunset). Call me if you down to start practicing.

What Up Vil ?
Flamingo Park in South Beach and Sunset Park in Kendall (SW Miami) are the only two courts players go on a weekly basis. There are two more one wall handball courts but there are hardly any players going there. Of these two I've started to go with a few of the Kendal players on Wednesdays after work since there is little natural light for us to play with at Sunset Park. These are courts are located on 69Ave and Flaggler right off Palmetto (826). This park is of great interest to me since it will be renovated soon. Starting in January of next year the City Of Miami is planning on demolishing the park. Piece by piece. Included in this demolision is the one wall court. But the problem is the the City does not plan to replace it. Therefore I've made this my sencond project for our Handball awareness movement across Florida. The same thing WAS going to happen in Flamingo but two indivduals showed up to some City meeting. Represented handball players. And now the City of Miami Beach WILL replace them. This is exactly my goal. I'm will be showing presense there and mobilizing the people there to petition the City of Maimi. I'm also starting to interest young kids there into the sport of handball. With some work and luck we should be able to be successful in this project.

If you or any one else you know is interested in helping me I would greatly appreciate. But I will stick to my plan even if I have little support.
917-669-0319 in case you would like to discuss further.
Thx !
