About Me:

Started playing handball in 1965 (that's right, 44 years ago) in Gainesville at the University of Florida 3-wall courts on University Avenue, with coaches P.A. Lee, Jim McCeachren, Tim Scott, and Eddie Reese. Gave it up for 20 years to play Racquetball in tournaments all over the Southeast, mainly because there were no handball players around to speak of during those years. But handball was always my first love, and have been happily playing with hardheads in Ormond Beach and Flagler Beach now for the past several years.

Sportscenter.

Hobbies:

Saltwater fishing, all kinds...Play a little guitar, too. Golf (that's me with Nick Price in the photo. I played with him in the Pro-Am at the Ginn Championship a few years ago.)

Anything Latin. Flan, Beans and Rice, Pork, Coffee, you name it....

Flagler Beach, at Wadsworth Park.

Tie between Joe Mastropierro and Eddie Jensen. Two great competitors in our area who always bring a lot of positive energy to the courts. My role models, both...

Best Handball Moment:

Played in the last tournament with each of my two sons as doubles partners. Truly a dream come true for me....

Tournament Experience:

Never won anything in handball worth talking about. (No right hand and a slow first step) I did win several racquetball state tournaments in Florida back in the 70's, though, including the 1976 USRA Florida State Open Singles title.
