as an experienced tournament director you never get a perfect number even when you do u always have 1 or 2 teams to show up late to participate, i'm one not to turn back any players as long as its not beyond the 1st round... A good idea is to analyze your players by their participation in recent tournament events, now that most players have played thru out the year you can get more of a feel what that players seeding can be, now chart every tournament participant and assessed them points for participation, say 20-25 for participation, if they win a 1st round game 50 points, win a 2nd round game 75 points unless its a semi-final match which would be 150 points, and and runner up 300 points and a winner 400 points. keep track of of GPA game points allowed that will allow for tie breaking siuation so u wont have to many ties! assest the point system for every tournament then you will be able to rank everyone accordindly, then you can calculate say the last 4-6 tournament events and use the best percentage... I advise you purchase the Tournament Pro software its a very good software for handball breaks down everything to the tee! http://www.alltournamentpro.com/
hopefully this is helpful information, so you can rank your players. so like that by next year you dont have to be picking out the hats byes, you'll get your bye by the ranking system and have work hard for to maintain thru out the year

E,
If ya get to talk to Handball city, mention and additional space in member profile for a tee-shirt size.
I also want to go over a player ranking system based strictly on tournament play only with you when you have time. It's very simple unlike an ELO rating system.

Whats up Mr. Efren? Luis here from Miami. I checked out ur Tournament chart and it looks good if you run an ideal number or should I say perfect number of 64, 32, 16, 8, 0r 4 teams or individuals. What happens if you have 12 teams or 15 teams etc? and its not a perfect number. You ask anybody who understands brackets and they will tell you there has to be byes. For example if there are 12 teams that means four teams will get byes in the first round. Who gets the bye depends if ur using a blind draw or seeded draw. Blind means you pick out of the hat, either you put names, or numbers in the hat and you start by pulling them out and put them in the bracket as they are pulled out by the participants. This means the 12 team bracket has to be done. Seeded means you have a ranking systems for the players and they already have a ranking. This means you put top players on opposite sides of the brackets and if there are byes because there is no perfect number of players they get the byes. I don't get it people don't seem to understand this. Also there are different types of brackets you can use for tournaments; Double elimination, Double semi elimination, Consolation, Double elimination consolation, round robin and pyramid. I guess everybody is use to ONLY single elimination which is "OK" but once again if there is not a PERFECT number 4, 8, 16, 32, 64, etc. There has to be byes...!! I am not talking about BUY INS which is another matter by itself and I don't really like because there is no real rules set up for it. Do check out this link. www.printyourbrackets.com and check out single and double elimination brackets they do show them seeded and as blind draw.. Anyways do like ur bracket which is always use for perfect numbers and I have senn it use in College Basketball.. Chill Out, Luis

Wdup Fam,

I think we should look into having a link with all and only Past Tournament Info... Maybe like a PTI tab next to Groups, Blogs, Chat tabs... This tab will only allow for word and excel documents to be posted with tournament info. We in Florida can start the process if Handballcity is able to create the Tab.... I'm sending an e-mail to handballcity to see if its possible.
